Healty Eating

It is important to eat a healthy, well balanced diet every day to keep your blood sugars within your proper range. Include natural foods from each of the food groups (vegetables, dairy, proteins, whole grains and healthy fats), trying to avoid processed foods. Dring plenty of water throughout the day. 

Draw an imaginary line across the center of your plate. Then divide one of the halves one more time. Fill the large half plate with healthy vegetables, fill one of the smaller sections with a meat or protein, the other with a starchy food such as potatoes or rice.  This will be a visual reminder to eat a balanced diet.
